How do I use the the EarthRx Bodpods®?
- EarthRx BodPods® should be kept in a dry area, convenient to shower or bath. Remember, the individual body wash pods quickly dissolve in water, so direct contact with water is not a good idea until you are ready to use!
- Place the body wash pod in a pouf, washcloth or just use your hands to create an amazingly rich lather that is great for your skin.
- When the body wash pod is exposed to water, the water-soluble film dissolves in a matter of seconds releasing the luxurious body wash liquid to produce the rich lather.
- Enjoy the feeling of clean, silky soft skin!
Can I keep the EarthRx BodPods® pouch in the shower?
The EarthRx BodPods® will dissolve when exposed to water so for the best results, we suggest storing the product pouch outside of the shower. Bring one body wash pod into the shower when you are ready to wash. Use 2 or more to delight!!
How do we make the oceans better, one wash at a time?
Individual, biodegradable body wash pods, plant based ingredients and compostable packaging help keep plastics out of the ocean. No plastic bottles, tubes or jugs that may find their way to the ocean. We are trying to reduce marine pollution by stopping it before it even has a chance to start.
Are your Ingredients Ocean Friendly?
Our ultra-mild, plant based, clean ingredients and pod film are all 100% biodegradable and do not persist in the environment making the body wash pods the ideal ocean friendly product. Even the leading environmental watch dog thinks our ingredients are top notch, giving them a rating of 1 or 2 The highest and best ratings they use for personal care products. Plus, our individual body wash pods also help manage over pouring, spillage and over-use of traditional body washes. As they say, less is often more!!! The perfect combination of biodegradable ingredients, conserving usage and reducing marine pollution by stopping plastic production before it starts make EarthRx truly Ocean Friendly.
How do I get the most lather out of each EarthRx BodPod®?
Using a sea sponge, loofah, shower pouf or washcloth will produce the most luxurious lather, but you can also simply rub the body wash pod in your hands for a wonderful clean.
How much body wash does each EarthRx BodPod® contain?
Each individual body wash pod contains enough body wash to produce loads of rich lather for your wash. We took special care to portion out enough body wash for a nourishing, moisturizing shower, while encouraging conservation. No more overdosing and pouring too much body wash onto your body sponge. Your personal preferences may vary though so feel free to use more body wash pods to really delight.
Why launch an Unscented variant?
We have received a tidal wave of consumer interest in launching an Unscented variant. To meet consumer demand we are so proud to be launching our new Unscented product. It meets all of Earth Rx® highest product/environmental standards, is super clean and light and refreshingly unscented. We encourage everyone to give it a try. Our Ocean Fresh formula, however is still the best-selling body wash pod on the market and our consumers love it’s light, tropical fragrance.
Are the EarthRx Bodpods® Good for Surfing, Camping, Boating or Outdoor Activities?
Our body wash pods are so perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. They are super portable, just pack a few in safe container and throw them in your backpack, purse or beach bag and when you are ready to wash off just find a shower and grab one and enjoy. A simple, ocean friendly, safe way to clean up after a full day of fun!!!
What makes the EarthRx BodPod® film dissolve in water?
Our water-soluble films are made of plant-based PVOH which is colorless, odorless, biodegradable and non-toxic. It dissolves completely upon contact with water and naturally biodegrades converting into H2O and CO2. Hundreds of studies exist on the biodegradation of PVOH and it is a very well-established mechanism supported by academic research and industrial publications.
PVOH is both safe, ocean friendly and environmentally friendly because it does not persist in the environment, contaminate the recycling stream or contribute to micro-plastic pollution. It’s unique safety and environmental profile make it an ideal material to help make our products safer, simpler and more sustainable.
What should I do with the package when I’ve used up all of the EarthRx BodPods®?
EarthRx® packaging is fully compostable and should be disposed of according to your local waste disposal guidelines. Compostable packaging can be treated like food waste. It is designed to decompose as part of the organic waste stream and return to the environment as a natural fertilizer for soil and plants.
Is the package really compostable?
Yes, absolutely. The EarthRx® pouch is made with fully compostable materials, meets the international standards on compostable materials and is printed with plant based inks. Within an industrial composting complex, it will disintegrate after 12 weeks and completely biodegrade after six months. Being fully compostable also ensures there are no hazardous consequences from the breakdown of the materials, assuring that all compostable materials are nourishing and perfectly safe for the cultivation of soil and keep plastic bottles out of our oceans.
There are 2 types of composting: Home and Industrial. Do EarthRx® bags compost in both conditions?
Our bags compost under both conditions, but timing may vary depending on heat and humidity.
What is the difference between biodegradable and compostable?
Biodegradation is a biological process where materials are metabolized into CO2, water and biomass. The process of biodegradation depends on the conditions of the specific environment and on the material and therefore, the rate of decomposition varies significantly.
Compostability describes material which biodegrades within a time frame of 180 days under composting conditions.
